McKays

Website &
enquiry information

Updated 20 October 2026

McKays is a trading name of Marcias Limited. Registered in Scotland, company number SC653353. Registered office: 51 Watt Road, Hillington, Glasgow G52 4RY. For questions about this website, an enquiry or the handling of information, email info@mckays.co.uk.

Sector guides and examples

The guides illustrate record categories, possible connections and questions to explore. They do not establish that a particular archive exists, belongs to its holder, is suitable for AI use or can be sold or licensed. They are not a formal valuation, legal opinion, insolvency opinion or professional clinical advice.

Search and the archive outline

Sector and business-type searches run within the page. The optional outline uses your answers to prepare an editable summary. It does not calculate a valuation or decide eligibility. Outline inputs stay in the page until you choose to include the resulting description in an enquiry and submit it. They are not saved in browser storage. Reloading or leaving the page may lose unsent work.

Sending an enquiry

Marcias Limited, trading as McKays, receives the name, email address, optional company name, brief archive description, optional approximate archive volume, record origin, your relationship to the records and whether personal information may be present that you choose to submit. We use these details to screen and respond to your enquiry. The personal-information question asks only yes, no or not sure, not for the underlying records. Screening is a first look, not an automated eligibility or valuation decision. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

The form uses Formspree to process and store submissions and notify info@mckays.co.uk. Formspree uses US infrastructure; the free service keeps a dashboard submission history for 30 days. Copies delivered to our email inbox are separate and may remain after that dashboard history ends. See Formspree’s privacy policy for its processing and service information.

The website displays a confirmation only after the form service accepts the submission. That is not proof that Richard has read it. If an error or uncertain connection is reported, your text remains available; avoid repeated submissions and contact Richard directly if needed.

Please provide a non-confidential description only. No archive-upload facility is provided. Do not include underlying archive records, patient, customer, client, employee or other personal records, passwords, access codes or sensitive material.

Adviser introductions and free resources

Advisers should use their own contact details and obtain permission before making an introduction. The owner can use the direct enquiry link instead. Do not put third-party contact details, client archives or confidential matter information into the description. Downloading a guide does not submit an enquiry or subscribe anyone to marketing.

Professional business contacts

Marcias Limited, trading as McKays, may research and contact relevant professional advisers about possible business-archive opportunities. We use names, professional roles, employer details and business email addresses published on firm websites or public professional registers, together with the source, correspondence and contact preferences. We do not treat a publicly listed address as consent.

For relevant professional business contacts in the UK and Ireland, where the applicable direct-marketing rules permit the introduction, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in introducing McKays and assessing whether a professional discussion could be useful. We weigh that interest against the contact’s privacy and reasonable expectations, limit the information and messages to the professional purpose, and respect objections. This does not authorise use of confidential client or estate records.

Contact research and correspondence are held in our business email and working records, using Google and OpenAI services. Information is used to manage the introduction and any resulting discussion, not sold as a contact list. We retain it only while needed for that purpose, any resulting business relationship or applicable record-keeping obligations; limited suppression information is retained to avoid contacting someone who has objected. The appropriate period depends on whether a discussion proceeds and any relevant obligations.

You can object to direct marketing at any time by replying to the email or contacting info@marcias.co. We will stop marketing to you. You may also request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, subject to applicable rights and exemptions, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office or, in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission. Providing information or responding is optional. We do not use this outreach to make automated decisions about you.

Website hosting

The website is hosted with OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites. Hosting and delivery services may process technical information needed to serve and protect the site, such as IP addresses, browser information and security logs. Browser-only search does not mean that hosting services collect no technical information.

No advertising or analytics scripts have been added to this website.

A detailed review is a separate step

An initial enquiry does not authorise McKays to access, transfer, sell or license an archive. Any detailed review requires a separate discussion of authority, confidentiality, personal information, third-party rights, access, permitted recipients and uses, preparation responsibilities and commercial arrangements.

Clinical, financial, legal, employment, children’s and identifiable recorded material may require specialist review and may be unsuitable. Removing names is not in itself proof of anonymity or lawful reuse. No anonymisation or redaction service is promised by this website.

Questions about your information
